The term “Advent” is from the Latin adventus which means “Coming.” We mark this with the four Sundays before Christmas. This is to mark the arrival of the Christ-child, born in Bethlehem. As Christians, we also know that we look joyfully and expectantly to Jesus’ Second Advent: when He will return to make all things new.

This will culminate with our Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service at 5:00pm on December 24.
