Join us as we welcome guest preacher, Dr. Terry Ellis
Dr. Terry Ellis will be our guest preacher. Dr. Ellis, born in Texas and raised in Kentucky, graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1980 with a BA in Psychology. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and earned two degrees; a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies, and a doctorate in Greek New Testament. He also taught Greek and New Testament. Over a 34-year career in ministry he was pastor of six churches. He has authored a great many biblical commentaries and articles on biblical and spiritual topics. And he nearly lost his life to alcoholism and has been in recovery since 2013.
Now, as president of the Fully Alive Foundation, he has been helping individuals and families struggling with addiction since 2015. He speaks often to churches and various organizations on the topics of addiction, intervention, and recovery. He is the author of several books. His most popular is Reasonably Happy which focuses on the Serenity Prayer.
He is married to Leslie, and together they have two adult children and six grandchildren.
